The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers more than 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. The programmes integrate practical applications with theoretical knowledge to ensure that students can effectively apply what they have learned. Major Duties: |
The appointee will be required to support the project co-ordinator in organizing and designing different carbon footprint reduction activities, contacting supporting organizations, conducting a literature review, and writing the technical report and academic papers, and performing other research duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI). |

Requirements: |
For Research Assistant I, applicants should have a recognised Master’s degree in Nutrition and Healthcare Management, Health Care or related disciplines, or a recognised degree in related disciplines with work experience in performing research studies or clinical works with human subjects and organizing activities for professional bodies as well as the general public. Applicants are expected to apply for external competitive research grants and/or have rich project management experience. |

For the post of Research Assistant II, applicants should have a recognised sub-degree in Nutrition and Healthcare Management, Health Care or related disciplines. Applicants with research experience related to material science or with project management experience will be preferred. |
|
Applicants for the above posts should have good command of English and Chinese, good administrative, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a strong sense of responsibility, good work initiative and an ability to work independently. |

The appointee(s) may be appointed on temporary or part-time terms of employment. |

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary. |
